Christmas at the Circus

Well, I survived first term! I can hardly believe its all gone so quickly, or that its nearly 2014!
A few weeks ago we were all given our ‘Secret Santa’ names and given a budget of £5 from the office to buy a gift, and today, the last day of term, is the Circus Space Christmas party!
There aren’t many universities in the world where the Director dresses up as Santa, flies down from the roof on a zipline, and gives out the gifts to the entire student body. I feel so incredibly privileged to be here, surrounded by such amazing people at such a special place. Even though I’m still homeless, and my financial situation is looking worse than ever, today is one of those rare days where life does really feel magical, and I can’t wait for next term!
